Comp I 10th grade: After vocab practice, we will learn about Subordinate Conjunctions and how they form complex sentences. Keep reading Chapters 4-5 in To Kill a Mockingbird.
CIS College Comp: We are doing ACT prep on Conjunctive Adverbs today. (Do ANY 5, not all 10.) Also, read "Words Left Unspoken" by L. Cohen and answer Comprehension questions 3, 4, 5 and #2 under Style and Structure. Also, find at least two figures of speech (similes, metaphors, personification, etc...) These questions will be due on Thursday.
Myths & Legends: We are working on Word Origins after we do the story notes for "Dolphin Girl."
Young Adult Lit: We will finish A Series of Unfortunate Events. Write your summary in either Camera View/Detached Observer or Third Person Limited Omniscient. Then we will do the Discussion Notes, which will help you with the final questions.
