CIS College Comp: First we will review ACT Grammar we've covered so far. Then, I will introduce Dangling Modifiers and how to fix them. Also, read "Get it Right: Privatize Executions" and answer questions 2 & 3 under Purpose and Audience.
Myths & Tales: We are starting the story "The Cheaters." We will listen to it on tape because it is complicated to read. Pay attention to the colloquialisms in the story. Answer discussion questions on Parts 1 & 2.
Young Adult Lit: We are starting a new novel The Devil's Arithmetic this semester. The "A"-Contract novel is The Good Earth. Today, I will introduce the book and we will read and summarize what we have read.
